Rethink Carers Support (Croydon NSF Group): Free Wellbeing & Mental Health Service in Croydon
## What is Rethink Carers Support? The Rethink Croydon NSF Support Group is a peer-led support group specifically for carers of people with mental health conditions. Run by Rethink Mental Illness, this group provides a safe space for carers to share their experiences, offload their problems, and support each other without judgment. The group recognises the unique challenges faced by those caring for someone with a mental illness and offers a supportive community of people with shared experiences. Meetings occasionally host guest speakers and work to influence local mental health policy decisions that affect carers and their loved ones. ## Who Can Use Rethink Carers Support? This group is open to carers only - people who are caring for a family member, friend, or loved one with mental health difficulties. This includes those caring for someone with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorder, or any other mental health condition. You don't need to be a registered carer or accessing formal services - if you provide support to someone with mental health difficulties, you're welcome. ## How Do I Access Rethink Carers Support? Contact the group on **07757 602072** or email groups@rethink.org to find out more or to get involved. You can also visit the Rethink Mental Illness website for information. Simply turn up to a meeting - there's no registration required, and you can attend whenever suits you. ## What Should I Expect? The group meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at United Reform Church (the Primary Room), Addiscombe Grove, East Croydon, CR0 5LP.
