Croydon BME Forum Wellness Centre: Free Wellbeing & Mental Health Service in Croydon
## What is Croydon BME Forum Wellness Centre? The Croydon BME Forum is a non-profit charity celebrating over 22 years of giving Black and Minority Ethnic people a voice in Croydon. Their Wellness Centre provides culturally responsive mental health and wellbeing support specifically designed for BAME communities, recognising that many people face barriers to accessing mainstream mental health services. Working in partnership with the NHS and Mind in Croydon, they offer support both in-person and online through the Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space. Services take into account people's culture, ethnicity and faith, working to remove barriers that prevent people from seeking mental health help. ## Who Can Use the BME Forum Wellness Centre? The Wellness Centre primarily serves Black and Minority Ethnic communities in Croydon, though services are open to all. It's particularly valuable for people who haven't found mainstream mental health services culturally appropriate or accessible. Key programmes include 'Counselling in the Community', the CDW Mental Health programme, EMHIP, and the Young at Heart Social Group for those aged 55 and over. ## How Do I Access the BME Forum Wellness Centre? Contact them on **020 8684 3719** or email info@bmeforum.org. The head office is at 56a Mitcham Road, Croydon CR0 3RG (opposite Kwik Fit). You can also access support through the Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space in the Whitgift Centre. ## What Should I Expect? The Wellness Centre offers a welcoming, culturally aware environment.
